Research Topic: Respiratory responses to drugs of abuse
 
Project and Position Details: We are looking for a motivated, inquisitive, and reliable student to help conduct and analyze the results of behavioral experiments with mice. Students can expect to learn techniques in behavioral neuroscience, how to analyze the results thereof, and to discuss those results in a team setting with other scientists. Work may also include computational neuroscience techniques and coding in R and MATLAB.  
 
Qualifications: The most important qualifications are perseverance, communication skills, and a willingness to ask questions. Prior coursework in biology, neuroscience, and/or statistics is a plus. Experience coding would be helpful but is not required.
 
Time Commitment: 10-40 hours per week over the summer. Fewer if the project continues through the academic year.

Compensation: Volunteer (Optional registration for URES:3991 or URES:3992 0-credit transcript recognition), Academic Credit (1-4 Semester Hours), To be determined

Start Date: Immediate, Near future, Summer semester
