Project and Position Details: The Brain Lesion and Neuromodulation Laboratory (BLNL) is seeking 1-2 undergraduate research assistants. The BLNL investigates brain mechanisms of behavior and cognition using lesion-deficit mapping and neuromodulation (electrical brain stimulation). The assistants will be asked to help with projects focused on neuropsychological outcomes after neurosurgery among patients with epilepsy, and/or pioneering a new test of working memory for use in various neuropsychological settings (acute stroke, standard outpatient exams, electrical stimulation mapping in patients with epilepsy). Duties may include: assisting with digitizing paper records of neuropsychological testing of patients with focal brain lesions, administering neuropsychological tests, and data entry.
Qualifications: Preferred skills include experience with programming, background in psychology or neuroscience, and experience interacting with medical or neurological patients.
Time Commitment: 3-6 hours per week
Compensation: Volunteer (Optional registration for URES:3991 or URES:3992 0-credit transcript recognition), Academic Credit (1-4 Semester Hours), Pay, To be determined
