Project details
This position offers the opportunity to gain experience working at the intersection of engineering and neuroscience. Depending on interests and skills there are many opportunities available in this position to apply engineering principles to biological problems. Examples include brain image registration and automated quantification, machine learning approaches to quantifying mouse behavior, and hardware design using microcontrollers to control mouse behavioral tasks.

Qualifications
The applicant should have a background in engineering fundamentals with relevance to biology, including linear algebra and differential equations, and experience writing code in Matlab, Python, or C/C++.

Time Commitment
10-20 hours/week during semesters, up to 40 hours/week during summer.
