Dr. James Byrne’s laboratory focuses on developing transformative technologies to improve patient care. To accomplish this goal, we employ a variety of different methodologies and experiments to improve upon standard-of-care cancer treatments. While our current studies are geared towards prostate and pancreatic cancer, it is our intention that our research will be applicable to a variety of cancer and disease types. We are looking for a Biomedical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering student to assist with device design and prototyping for ongoing projects. There are opportunities in our lab for undergraduate researchers to collaborate with others and share their research at local events.
Qualifications
CAD and 3D printing experience (Creo or SolidWorks preferred). Background or interest in materials science, experience with routine tools and shop equipment a plus.
Time Commitment
10 hours/week. Willingness to commit for multiple semesters.
