Edge of Space Academy
Paid 2.5-week, team-based undergraduate research experience in which students design, build, and deploy small instrument payloads on drones or high-altitude balloons to collect measurements of the Earth’s surface and atmosphere. This hands-on program emphasizes learning by doing and does not require prior experience in hardware, instrumentation, electronics, programming, 3D fabrication, or data analysis.
Kani Dare Summer Camp
10-day paid summer camp / mini-internship focused on weather prediction, local weather intelligence assessment, and resilience in agricultural and rural communities. Funded by the National Science Foundation, the program provides hands-on training and exposure to emerging technologies and interdisciplinary research approaches.
SPUR - The University of Utah ($) (External)
This 10-week research experience is taking place at the University of Utah. You get the chance to engage with faculty members and work hand in hand with students and mentors in variety of topics!
REU: Research Experience for Undergraduates in Nanotechnology ($)(External)
This 9-week program allows undergraduate students interested in nanotechnology to work on a research project in this field. Students will have access to world-class equipment and facilities while participating in team events and enjoying field trips.

Cancer Research Opportunities at Iowa (CROI)
CROI is a free ten-week program for underrepresented undergraduates interested in cancer-related biomedical sciences with mentors from the colleges of medicine, nursing, public health, engineering, pharmacy, and liberal arts & sciences.
