University Housing and Dining at the University of Iowa is piloting a summer internship housing program in the summer of 2026.

If you are an employer on campus or in the Iowa City area and an intern you are hiring needs housing, this would be a great housing option to promote.

For interns at the University of Iowa or in the Iowa City area, the university will make available beds in residence hall rooms between the dates of May 23, and August 1, 2026. Rates are pro-rated based on length of stay.

Those who reside in summer internship housing may have options that include some or all the following:

• A bed in a single or double room (pillow/bed linens included)
• Opportunity to identify a roommate
• Meal plan choices (not required)
• Option to select a Micro-fridge unit (limited supply)
• Community Kitchen Access (limited buildings)
• Laundry facilities in the building
• Free Wi-Fi
• Front Desk Guest Service/package collection service
• Building security
