The BEST program is for 10 weeks, on campus. Students will be paid for working 40 hours/week along with a housing stipend of up to $1000
- Students cannot work another UIowa job during the 10 weeks of the BEST program
- Students do not need prior research experience, they will be paired with a research mentor and will have a chance to develop their research skills
- In addition to the time in lab, participants will spend time in educational sessions and developing a final presentation on their research
- The only pre-requisite is a GPA of 3.0 or above
