This program will provide funding for faculty (or teams of faculty) to work with 2-4 undergraduates on a research or creative project. Students should be working cohesively on a single project.
Projects involving two or more faculty members should limit their applications to one.
University of Iowa faculty across all colleges are eligible to apply for these funds. Projects should be student-research driven. Successful applications will detail how this work enriches the student experience, helps towards student goals, and advances PI scholarship. While the undergraduate students do not need to be identified at the time of submission, their information must be provided to the Office of Undergraduate Research as soon as possible as these funds are awarded directly to the students.
Proposals that focus on distinctive collaborative opportunities such as writing and communication, brain science and mental health, and cancer research and patient care are especially encouraged.
