Project and Position Details
Join an Iowa STEM research group and participate in a 10-week research experience under the mentorship of a faculty member. Selected trainees will have the unique opportunity to learn about the latest breakthroughs in cancer therapy including FLASH Radiotherapy. Research opportunities are available in radiation therapy, redox biology, cancer biology, traditional and medical physics, engineering, medical imaging, immunology, and more. Work in cancer-related fields is a feature of this program. The 10-week research program will be held from May 18th - July 26th at the University of Iowa (UI). Student support will include a $6000 stipend, housing on the University of Iowa campus, and round-trip travel expenses.
Eligibility Requirements:
• US Citizen or Permanent Resident
• Current Bachelor’s degree-seeking student in a biomedical science field (completed sophomore year)

Qualifications
Aimed at all third and fourth-year undergraduate students pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree.
Time Commitment
This 10-week research program will be held from May 18th - July 26th at the University of Iowa (UI), and students will work 20 hours per week.
Compensation
Pay- $6000 stipend, housing on the University of Iowa campus, and round-trip travel expenses.
