Paid 2.5-week, team-based undergraduate research experience in which students design, build, and deploy small instrument payloads on drones or high-altitude balloons to collect measurements of the Earth’s surface and atmosphere. This hands-on program emphasizes learning by doing and does not require prior experience in hardware, instrumentation, electronics, programming, 3D fabrication, or data analysis.

10-day paid summer camp / mini-internship focused on weather prediction, local weather intelligence assessment, and resilience in agricultural and rural communities. Funded by the National Science Foundation, the program provides hands-on training and exposure to emerging technologies and interdisciplinary research approaches.

Undergraduates involved in quantum research from around the country are invited to attend QURiSE - January 23-25, 2026 at the University of Maryland, College Park. The goals of QURiSE are centered on helping undergraduates meet the challenges of quantum career pathways, graduate school opportunities, and workforce readiness.
