The lab I'm in focuses on toxicity profiles of single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in response to the chemotherapy drug 5-Fluorouracil (5-FU. I mainly work on projects which investigate partial alternative splicing in carriers of rs75017182 to identify differences between variants and their impact on severe adverse reactions to treatment. Having the opportunity to be a part of this research has been deeply rewarding, as it has given me insight into preventative patient care.

Outside of research I love to weightlift, cross-stich, and code videogames.
