We hope this message finds you well as we approach Commencement season.

We are excited to invite you to save the date for the inaugural New England McNair Undergraduate Research & Creative Scholarship (NE-MURCS) Conference, taking place November 5–7, 2026, in Boston, Massachusetts!

NE-MURCS will bring together undergraduate students, mentors, and program leaders from across the country for three days dedicated to research, creative scholarship, and community building. This conference is designed to be an inclusive space for students across all disciplines to share their work while connecting with peers and mentors to engage in meaningful scholarly conversations.

Whether your students are presenting or you are looking to support their academic and professional development, we hope you will plan to join us for this exciting inaugural event.

Registration will open soon, and additional details will be shared in the coming weeks.

If there is a colleague within your program who is better suited to receive this information, we would greatly appreciate you forwarding this message. Alternatively, please feel free to share their contact information so we can update our records accordingly.

Additionally, we are currently accepting proposals for two workshop tracks:

  • Student Workshops: Interactive sessions designed to help undergraduate researchers strengthen research skills, prepare for graduate school, and build their academic and professional development.

  • Staff & Faculty Workshops: Sessions focused on mentoring strategies, program practices, and innovative approaches to supporting undergraduate research initiatives.

All workshops will take place on Friday, November 6, 2026, and will be approximately 50 minutes in length. Proposals are due by June 1st, 2026, so don't delay!
