- Must have health insurance to attend the University of Iowa (Dental Insurance is NOT required).
- Must document English proficiency
Health Insurance Requirements
All international (non-immigrant) students are required to maintain health insurance sufficient to satisfy minimum standards of coverage throughout time they are attending a summer program at the University of Iowa.
If your program has an international student, they are automatically billed in monthly installments for a student-only policy for the summer unless alternative arrangements are made before June 9th, 2026.
