Biography
In one lab, I use computer simulations to predict free energies in protein-ligand interactions. By studying these binding affinities and energetics, we aim to advance computational methods for drug discovery and molecular modeling. In my other lab, I study semiconductor materials by measuring how they absorb infrared light across different wavelengths. I then use optical simulations to validate and interpret these results. This work supports the design of a nanostructured device called a metacontact, which we aim to optimize for greater efficiency in devices like LEDs. I enjoy that both projects allow me to apply my knowledge of simulations and software to tackle complex scientific problems.

Outside of research I enjoy weightlifting, playing tennis with my friends, and coding my own apps on GitHub.
