Monday, January 8, 2024
The Advanced Pulmonary Physiomic Imaging Lab is looking for an undergraduate student to help with ongoing research at the interface of medical imaging and AI. The main task involves using the 3DSlicer software to work with 3D CT images and extracted 3D structures; specifically, using geometrical and morphological tools in the software to correct branching structures, mount peripheral vessels onto the vascular root structures, figure out whether a vessel is an artery or vein, etc. On the side, the student could also get involved in either of 2 side tasks: 1- Python programming for 3D visualization and other shape analysis tasks, and 2- Clinical research, statistical analyses and helping prepare manuscripts for publication.
