Biography

My research focuses on decreasing prevalence of sexual assault and violence on the University of Iowa's campus. By utilizing data from the Speak Out Iowa Survey, a survey conducted campus wide to better understand sexual assault and misconduct on our campus, I am using statistical analysis to understand what types of education and training programs are most effective in increasing behaviors that reduce risk of sexual assault for individuals and others in the community.

I found my interest in Sociology later in my college career and learned about the opportunities that come with research even later! But it has been one of the most impactful experiences for me! I love my research project, because I can tangibly see how the work I am doing can improve the community that I live in!

Outside of my research project I am involved in Undergraduate Student Government and I love reading, hiking, and spending time with my cat Mochi!
