I work in the Neiman Lab doing research with snails! My long-term goal in this lab is to use Apple Snails as a mollusk model for gene editing. These snails are invasive and tend to breed rather quickly. My job is to learn everything I can to about Apple Snails and their genomes; with this information, not only will I be able to modify their genes, but I'll be able to apply my methods to the other understudied organisms in the mollusk family

I love research because I get to learn helpful methods outside of the classroom. I'm able to do things that my younger self couldn't even imagine.

My hobbies include listening to music, just about anything Marvel, and cooking. I'm a very social butterfly, so don't be shy to talk to me :)
