Currently, our research is focused on investigating microglial activation and response patterns to traumatic brain injury in rodent models. We are also looking at how biological and biochemical outcomes following injury vary among differences in age and sex.

I’m interested in research because there is a critical need to investigate and understand the workings of the human brain, with hopes to improve on what has already been accomplished in the field. Our goal in research is to find and develop treatment options for the millions of individuals who suffer from brain injury and disease each year.

Outside of the lab, I love to play golf, drink coffee, and be outdoors.
