Liv Jewell

OUR Ambassador
Biography

I am an Undergraduate Research Fellow for the Obermann Center for Advanced Studies. Alongside another fellow, I am examining how to create more research opportunities in the humanities at the University of Iowa. Last semester, our research process included examining undergraduate research programs at different universities across the nation and abroad, creating surveys and conducting informational interviews, and presenting two program proposals to the Obermann Center Board.

I love research because it is exciting to see how it expands, narrows, and develops over time. Being an OUR Fellow has allowed me to make meaningful connections and learn from new people and different centers on campus.

Outside of research I enjoy portrait photography, playing the guitar, and watching The Amazing Race.
