My research involves looking at the role microglia play in alcohol induced neuronal death using a neonatal mice model. I find microglia incredibly interesting, and so I enjoy having the opportunity to study them more in depth through research. The research I’m involved with has a many different procedures, from slicing brain tissue to staining and imaging, so I also enjoy the variability to my day lab work provides and the opportunity to do work that’s more hands-on.

When I’m not doing research, I enjoy reading, running, and going on long outdoor walks.
