OUR Ambassador
Biography

My research is with Dr. Carr in the department of Human Physiology. Our lab is currently looking at the feasibility, acceptability, and efficacy of a health coaching lifestyle survivorship program (physical activity, nutrition, sleep) among young adult cancer survivors.

I got involved in research because I was really intrigued by the opportunity to help make new discoveries and gather evidence to support it. Working through the obstacles that come with conducting a research project has also taught me valuable lessons and helped me with general problem solving and critical thinking. I also love how broad research is, you can find research being done in any field that interests you, especially at an institution like the University of Iowa.

Outside of research I like to spend time with friends and family, play soccer, and get involved with different organizations across campus. I also like to "experiment" in the kitchen, otherwise known as cooking.
