Project and Position Details
The Gaine Lab is interested in using mouse models with genetic mutations to study neurodegeneration. This includes biochemical analyses and behavioral testing. The general responsibilities of the student will include: 
1. Conduct experimental research using a combination of molecular biology techniques and behavioral tasks. 
2. Perform animal husbandry to maintain mouse lines. 
An interest/experience in neuroscience and animal models is desired.

Qualifications
Excellent communication (verbal and written) and be positive and respectful in working with a diverse population. Excellent attention to detail.

Time Commitment
10 hours per week with increased hours over the summer.
