Project Details
We study mitochondria and their role in cardiovascular disease (atherosclerosis and small blood vessel disease). We are particularly interested how diabetes and cancer therapies damage mitochondria and hoe this leads to cardiovascular disease. We mostly use cells and mice for our studies, we also do some work in patients.
Qualifications
Undergraduate student that is meticulous, reliable and well-organized. Science major is preferred
Time Commitment
Flexible, 10 hours a week
Compensation
Volunteer (Optional registration for URES:3992, 0-credit transcript recognition), Academic Credit (1-4 S.H.)
