Fund it forward image

Overview
The Fund It Forward Student Video Challenge is an annual
competition hosted by The Science Coalition (TSC), a nonprofit,
nonpartisan group of more than 50 research universities.
Undergraduate and graduate students at TSC's member
institutions are invited to create and submit videos explaining why
science matters to them and remind Congress that now is the time
to invest in science. Up to seven winners will receive a cash prize!

The Challenge
Create a 60–90 second video explaining:
1.  Who you are and the university at which you study.
2.  An example of interesting research and how it benefits the
world now or could in the future.
3. Why continued federal support for fundamental research is
critical to our nation’s future. In other words, why should
Congress “Fund it Forward”?

Participants will be evaluated based on their messaging and
communication, creativity, and video and editing quality.

Eligibility
Only those students who are enrolled at, or affiliated with, TSC
member institutions are eligible to participate in the competition. A
current list of TSC member institutions can be found here.
Students from all majors and disciplines are encouraged to enter.

Key Dates
The 2023 Student Video Challenge will open on Tuesday,
