Position Details
Several ongoing projects are examining the brain mechanisms of learning and memory using cutting-edge techniques in neuroscience such as optogenetics, chemogenetics, and electrophysiology. We are specifically studying the mechanisms underlying associative learning and categorization in rats and mice.
Undergraduate research assistants start by helping with experiments. After gaining experience with various laboratory skills, they can develop their own projects, and then present and publish their findings. This opportunity is optimal for students interested in pursuing graduate or medical studies.
Qualifications
Preference will be given to students interested in participating in research for at least one full academic year. No experience required.
