Project and Position Details
We invite you to apply for the Radiation Biology & Physics Undergraduate Research Diversity Program. Selected trainees will join a research group in the Department of Radiation Oncology and participate in a research project(s) under the mentorship of a faculty member. Selected trainees will have the unique opportunity to learn about the latest breakthroughs in cancer therapy including FLASH Radiotherapy.
Research opportunities are available in radiation therapy, redox biology, cancer biology, medical physics, medical imaging, immunology and much more.
Enrichment opportunities include weekly laboratory research group meetings, seminars, safety training, and assistance with applying the medical/graduate school.
The Program provides a monthly stipend.
Eligibility:
- Junior or senior working toward a BS in a science-related field.
- Designated as an underrepresented minority (URM)
- Individuals from racial and ethnic groups such as Blacks or African Americans, Hispanics or Latinos, American Indians or Alaska Natives, Native Hawaiians, and other Pacific Islanders
- Individuals with disabilities
- Individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds
