Project and Position Details
The Dupuy is currently recruiting an undergraduate research assistant to support ongoing projects in the lab. Research in the Dupuy lab is focused on cancer genetics and bioinformatics to identify genetic drivers of cancer progression and treatment resistance. Students in the lab acquire experience with a wide variety of experimental approaches including cell culture, animal models of cancer, molecular biology, recombinant DNA, and genetic engineering techniques. The undergraduate research assistant is also expected to contribute to lab maintenance tasks related to ongoing research projects.
Applicants must have completed college-level coursework in introductory biology and chemistry. We are looking for an individual with a serious interest in pursuing a career in biomedical research. There is potential for this position to have an independent research project after receiving training in basic lab methodology. We expect this individual to work 10-20 hours per week during the academic year. There is potential for this individual to work full time during breaks and summer months, and we will give preference to applicants who are interested in this option.

Applicants must have completed introductory coursework in biology and chemistry. Must work 10-20 hours per week.
