Research Topic: Age-related macular degeneration (dry AMD) and macrophages.
Project and Position Details: The Mulfaul Lab is seeking motivated and detail-oriented undergraduate students to join our research team. Our lab investigates the immune mechanisms underlying dry age-related macular degeneration (AMD) using a combination of molecular biology, imaging, and data analysis techniques. This position provides an opportunity for students interested in biomedical research, medicine, graduate school, or biotechnology careers to gain hands-on laboratory experience while contributing to ongoing scientific projects. Responsibilities include assisting laboratory experiments under the supervision of graduate students and research staff, maintaining reagents and laboratory materials, data entry, contributing to research discussions, participating in weekly lab meetings and journal clubs. All training will be provided.
Qualifications: Current undergraduate student in a science field. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Commitment of at least 8–10 hours per week for a minimum of two semesters.

Compensation: Volunteer (Optional registration for URES:3991 or URES:3992 0-credit transcript recognition), Academic Credit (1-4 Semester Hours), Pay
