Research Topic
The Stead Family Department of Pediatrics is seeking a student to join our Psychosocial Oncology team! This position will be research focused.

Project and Position Details

• Primary Responsibilities:
  • Assist in editing and managing IRB protocol for database
  • Review relevant literature on a weekly basis
  • Assist with patient record reviews both in EPIC and in paper charts
  • Assist with manuscript writing and submission
  • Enter data into the REDCap database
  • Integrate database with existing data
  • Assist with data analysis
  • Consent patients for research purposes
  • Collaborate with the Pediatric Psychosocial Oncology team
• Cross-training for other psychosocial oncology project work:
  • Identify Quality Improvement (QI) projects of focus to align with psychosocial oncology standards of care
  • Gather information from patients and families related to specific QI projects
  • Assist with record review
  • QI project data collection
  • QI project data analysis
  • Assist with manuscript writing and submission
  • Review existing literature on education topics of interest
  • Compile information to simple one page handouts for patients and families
